Cookies and browser storage
In short
Routevance uses no profiling, advertising or statistics cookies and installs no traffic analytics tools. This website (www.routevance.com) stores nothing in the browser, except your choice of light or dark theme (key rv-theme) if you change it. The application (app.routevance.com) stores the technical information listed below in the browser: it is needed for the application to work, so we do not ask for consent. You can still delete it from your browser settings, but you will be logged out and lose your preferences.

Pages for end clients
The pages a company sends its end clients by link, to follow the technician's arrival (/track) and to rate the job (/rate), store nothing in the browser and load no third-party services.

Offline storage, cache and notifications
routevance-driverstore (IndexedDB): keeps on the device the actions the technician takes without a connection, photos included, until they reach the server. It is emptied when the technician logs out. If the login expires instead, the content stays on the device: it is sent when the same technician logs back in and deleted if a different technician logs in.- Installable app cache (service worker): the application files and, for up to 12 hours, a copy of the work plan. It is emptied when you log out. The
/trackand/ratepages do not install it. - Notifications: if you turn them on, the browser keeps the subscription to Routevance notifications until you revoke it in its settings.
Third-party services
Some pages reserved for users of customer companies use Google Maps for maps, routes and address suggestions: the map with the technicians' routes, the technician detail and the forms with an address field. In the sign-up form the script loads only when you enter the address field. On those pages the browser downloads the script from Google's servers, which receive the device's IP address. Routevance sets no cookies on Google's behalf. Google's own privacy policy covers the data Google processes.
In the technician's app, the navigation buttons open Google Maps in a new page or in the phone's app, with the addresses of the stops.
How to delete this data
You can delete cookies and site data from your browser settings. If you clear the tab storage you are logged out; if you clear the offline storage before it is sent, actions taken without a connection are lost.
